In June, our partners came together at the Hellenic Mediterranean University in Heraklion, Crete. The two-day meeting wasn’t just about ticking off agenda points – it was about deepening collaboration, aligning our vision, and pushing the project forward with renewed energy.

The heart of the discussions centered on developing the ISM Assessment System. Partners worked closely on shaping self-assessment questions, exploring case studies, and envisioning how the future online platform can support learners and professionals alike. The conversations went beyond technicalities; they were about making the system practical, clear, and impactful.

Another strong focus was on quality and training content. By reviewing the ISM Code Knowledge Framework and cross-checking each other’s contributions, the team ensured that what we create is not only consistent but also meaningful for the end users.

Communication was also on the agenda. With the next newsletter in motion and ongoing updates to the project website, partners discussed how to reach wider audiences and share progress in ways that build engagement and visibility.

What truly stood out during the days in Crete was the spirit of collaboration. Each partner brought their expertise, but it was the shared commitment that tied everything together. The meeting closed with clear next steps and, more importantly, a strong sense of momentum.

This gathering in Crete reminded us that progress happens not only in documents and frameworks, but in conversations, exchanges, and the collective drive to make a difference. The wonderful ambiance, cretan food and weather of course added to the great experience of reuniting with all partners IRL.
