As the summer draws to a close, we’re stepping back to look at what we’ve achieved—and what’s next.

Our work this quarter has focused on refining how the ISM Code is taught and understood. The traditional IMO model course has been reviewed in detail by UPC, and we’ve identified specific areas where our new program can add value—especially in risk communication, manning strategies, and continuous improvement loops.

One highlight? The completion of our data analysis phase, where we gathered insights from both ship operators and ports. The result is a smarter approach to performance monitoring, where Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like drills, detentions, and non-conformities aren’t just tracked—they’re explained.

And while no physical meetings were held, our digital teamwork never slowed. Subcontracting hiccups? Resolved. Task overlap? Streamlined. Every partner brought something critical to the table, from policy writing to simulator planning. We’re now setting our sights on the September meeting in Szczecin—and we’ll be arriving with a fully updated, real-world-ready course structure that speaks the language of today’s maritime sector.
