During the recent reporting period, Project OPTIMISM has continued its transition from development toward consolidation and quality assurance.
The consortium focused on refining course chapters, strengthening the competence-based structure of the programme, and advancing the innovative self-assessment methodology. Alignment between theoretical content and practical VR simulations has been further enhanced to ensure coherence and pedagogical impact.
Accreditation discussions and academic dissemination activities have also progressed, reinforcing the project’s professional and academic credibility.
Dissemination efforts have remained strong, particularly within the framework of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region. OPTIMISM has been actively promoted through Policy Area Safe and Policy Area Education, highlighting its relevance to maritime safety, digitalisation, and competence development.
With strong consortium alignment and increasing external visibility, the project is now well positioned to move into its next phase of implementation and pilot activities.
The journey continues – and we remain committed to advancing maritime safety through competence-driven, experience-based training.
