We recently had the pleasure of holding a partner meeting for Project OPTIMISM, hosted by our fantastic Finnish partner.
The journey itself was unforgettable. Aboard Aurora Botnia, we experienced breathtaking winter scenery as the vessel carved a steady path through an ice-covered sea — navigating through approximately 30 cm of ice. It was a powerful reminder of the unique operational realities of maritime environments and the importance of competence in challenging conditions.
Our discussions began onboard Aurora Botnia, where we reviewed progress on the OPTIMISM course and presented elements of the programme to stakeholders present. These exchanges provided valuable insights and constructive feedback that will further strengthen the course structure and implementation.
During our visit to Finland, we also had the opportunity to visit Wärtsilä — where cutting-edge innovation meets deep industry expertise. Their strong focus on smart, sustainable solutions and future-oriented maritime technologies made the visit both impressive and inspiring.
With valuable stakeholder input, productive partner discussions, and shared strategic planning, we continued developing the project – energized, aligned, and very much optimistic.
